The movie Up! was fabulous. Doug the dog is our Yoda, well except Yoda isn't trained very well and has the energy of a constant tornado. But everything else about the dog is our dog. The girls now want a talking collar for Yoda.
The bird was inspired by a bird from our local zoo. It was cool seeing the little mention of the Sacramento Zoo in the credits.
Also, my mom will be pleased to know that as much fun of her as I made when I when I was Juliet's age about her crying like a sap at movies or television, I've now become that lady. I think that the lovely moments are even more heart jerking than Jessie getting left in Toy Story 2.
I'd love to go back and watch it in 3D, but I probably won't get the opportunity. (Serafina was freaked out by the idea of glasses, and the movie started way later past bedtime.)
In a completely unrelated subject, Juliet wants to know why Dora the Explorer is oblivious to the fact that she shouldn't be so nosy looking in other people's Christmas presents. In fact, the more Juliet thinks back to the other episodes, she thinks Dora sort of tramples over her friends and expects to be loved as awesome and that's just rude.

Just for today, I tried my best not to toss my family out the window as I got driven bat shit insane.
Just for today, the house decided to invite in an army of ants.
Just for today, I attempted to clean but the house fought back and I lost.
Just for today, I ended up a cranky exhausted woman who helped the postpartum hair loss go quicker by ripping my hair out like my icon picture.
Just for today, the day could just be over already.
On a positive note, Katie met her total complete food goal allocation for the first time in about two months. We now are attempting to still increase her stomach capacity per feeding so that the meals aren't hourly.

Look at my new nifty icon (icon was Laurel and Hardy doing a happy dance)... well that's us in our household right now! Katie ate all twelve meals and met her first food goal of eating 1/3 her requirement during the first 24 hours.
(And yes, by all means swipe the icon if you like it)

Katie is a different kitty than the last two months. She came home from the surgery this time in much better alertness than the last time. While I was skeptical of the new feeding tube location, it looks fastened much more securely into place.
Yesterday, she had four feeding of 5 cc food/water mixture followed by 5 cc water to flush the tube. None was thrown up. Almost every meal she purred at the sight of our arrival. She also had a very small bowel movement.
This morning the first three meals were 7 cc of food/water mixture plus the 5 cc of water. Every hourly meal since then has been 8 cc food/water + 5 cc water. If she ends up holding all twelve meals without throwing up, Katie will meet her first stage food goal of 1/3 daily food requirement in the first 24 hours.
Every meal we have been greeted by a happy motor boat purr. Katie is also watching me feed her and looking happy to see me feed her instead of the previous three weeks of hating on me for trying. Also at the third feed of the day, Katie was grooming herself which is something she hasn't done in almost two months.
To say this has been a great day for Katie is an understatement.
I just worked out her feeding schedule goals for tomorrow which will expand her food intake by 25%. I can't and won't push her tummy too fast or expect too much. It's still too difficult to imagine her meeting the total daily intake so instead I'll take today as a nice and welcome surprise.
